The novel begins with a warm blossoming of romance between Ahana and Saksham. Ahana's past apparently makes it difficult to love her but Saksham's unconditional love lightens up Ahana's crumbled life. However, the bliss of love doesn't come without it's pangs. Ahana's emerging medical condition challenge the status quo of the couple that makes Saksham travel all the way to Kashmir to face Ahana's past and bring peace to her. What was Ahana's last wish? Is Saksham ready to face it?
So as the befitting title suggests, the journey of the plot is towards the "last wish" that apparently makes up the centre around which all other characters revolve. It is a beautiful blend of all that a Romance reader can seek - corporate romance, school romance, love triangle, heartbreaks, adorable moments and along with these comes the element of suspense and thrill. I am also intrigued by the implementation of the story within a story technique that added richness and dimension to the plot, drawing a parallelism between family and work, love and power, dreams and wish fulfilment.
The curiosity to know the wish and unveil Ahana's dark past in the process, make the book unputdownable. Moreover, I loved the book cover so much. If you are a romance lover, pick this one for a very fulfilling read, one that is heart-breaking and heart-warming at the same time.
