No one understands the agony of the human condition quite like poets do.
Let’s be honest, sometimes the only thing that makes you feel better is a good cry. There’s nothing wrong with that—that’s what cathartic poetry is for!

Drumbeats in my Empty Soul by Anuraag Bhattacharya is full of deep, complex emotions. His collection explores the inevitability of death, and the violent loneliness and fierce yearning that comes with a diseased soul. Anuraag Bhattacharya's work encompasses the bittersweet beauty of life, and displays a humble reverence for one’s fleeting time on earth. He writes with a raw and provocative darkness, unflinchingly putting catastrophic musings onto the page. Chilling and bare, he pens, “The moments took a turn, to a point where she didn't want to, the mess the gore was worse than where she had come, it was just so hard to subsume”. However, his work pushes readers towards hope and progress, capping the collection off with a torch of hope.

The illustrations embody the book's theme in graceful symbols. Each poetry will pull at your heartstrings just as much as it will fire up your imagination.
