The emanation of poetry involves a lot of instrospection and reflection on the poet's part. Conveying emotions and feelings in the form of words is a creative process and it lays bare the heart of the poet in front of the readers. Gypsysoul is a collection of poems in which the poet expresses her love and reverence for people, both animate and inanimate.
Some poems are like odes to her late father. In these, she presently reflects upon his father's guidance that now helps him to go through this labyrinth called life. In another poem, an exchange of role is manifest as she aids a child with some worldly wisdom.
Time also plays a major role in his verses. The fleeting nature of time and how it makes everything on this planet a subject to change, is exploited best in the poem "The Photo Album". Some of them also have an intricate plot weaved into the poetic diction.
My personal favourite from the collection is 'Paper boat' where a paper boat is given a voice and it speaks of it's experiences as it sails through a sweet and bitter world of woes and laughter -
"I hear the laughters
I hear the cries
I watch people say hello
I watch them bid good-byes"
These are some really pleasant and easy-to-read poems and a perfect read for poetry lovers.
